All Aboard! Trunks and Grips from the Collection
From carpet-bags to a wardrobe trunk checked at the luxurious Hotel Herring in Amarillo, PPHM has an extensive travel bag collection. Frequently, these pieces of luggage have stories to tell about the places theyve been and the people who carried them. This exhibition examines the development of travel luggage from the earliest examples carried by wagon to the golden age of train travel in the United States.

YOU ARE HERE: MAPS FROM THE PPHM COLLECTION
Maps have been created as navigational tools, as legal and political evidence, as administrative guides, as sales tools, and as creative objects. Examples of all of these can be found in the archival collections of the Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum and this exhibition will showcase about a dozen highlights from these collections.

When Georgia Was Here
This rolling exhibition will display near PPHM's own Georgia O'Keeffe painting, "Red Landscape", works of art produced contemporaneous with O'Keeffe's time at WTSNC (now West Texas A&M University) from fall 1916 to February 1918 when she took a leave of absence due to illness, and eventually resigned. The exhibition will be drawn from the PPHM's own stellar art collection and from public and private collections nationwide. When "Georgia Was Here" will present a new perspective on American art produced between 1916 and 1918.
