Junior Curators

Through exploration, geocaching, and photography, kids ages 8 to 13 will learn to curate Texas panhandle history and its environment using scientific and historic knowledge - and have fun while doing it. Check out our events by clicking here.

National History Day

Students in grades 6-12 engage in discovery and interpretation of historical topics related to an annual theme. In the process, they hone their talents and produce creative and scholarly projects.

Your students can participate in History Day with a:

  • Historical Exhibit
  • Historical Documentary
  • Historical Paper
  • Historical Performance
  • Historical Website (new category this year)

Call and have a History Day Packet mailed to you immediately! The packet includes:

  • a booklet to assist teachers in helping students
  • contest rule book
  • DVD with examples of papers, exhibits, documentaries, and performances completed by other students
  • theme narrative and possible research topics
  • category rules for the new web site category
