The Archeology Department highlights spectacular rocks and minerals including large examples of petrified wood, meteorites, and obsidian acquired since opening.  In addition, it will explore the wondrous beauty and diversity of fossil and recent animal bones.  Visitors will see a metal arrowhead imbedded in a bison bone, the skull and jaws of an extremely large fossil bear-dog, and rare or unusual natural history specimens collected since the Museum opened.
