Gary Griffin,
grandson of Museum art patron, Johnie Griffin, will address the annual gathering of FOSA. Griffin will tell of his childhood experiences living at Ranchos de Taos and attending dinners at his grandmother's home, which was frequented by artists and their wives including Andrew Dasburg, Gisella Loeffler, Joseph and Mabel Fleck, Ward and Clyde Lockwood, and Alexandra "Tinka" Fechin.
Even through his adult life, Griffin 's experiences with artists and collectors influenced his professional career as artist-in-residence at the Cranbrook Academy of Art, Bloomfield Hills , Michigan , and the Kohler Foundry in Wisconsin .
Cost for the luncheon is $30 for FOSA members or $35 for nonmembers. All proceeds go toward the Friends of Southwestern Art/Panhandle Plains Historical Society, and $20 of the ticket is tax deductible. For reservations, call 806-651-2258.
